My friend (we will call her Susan) and I often discuss the local food scene. Is there really a scene? Are people really passionate about local food, supporting small farms and eating well? Dutch Girl Creamery located just outside of Lincoln, Ne., launched a kick-starter campaign to help raise funds to build a cheese making plant at their farm. The goat dairy and cheese making business is an offshoot of the Shadow Brook Farm brand, owned by Charuth Van Beuzekom and Kevin Loth.
