- The phenomenon of The Room defies logic. It is also an unstoppable juggernaut, as Tommy Wiseau’s costar, Greg Sestero, is set to release a tell-all book called “Locked Inside The Room” in 2013. It will dive into all the scintillating questions that a person would have about a movie widely considered to be the worst thing done with a recording device not owned by a politician. Look, I get the entertainment value of watching the schlocky cult classic once or twice, but if you actually take the time to read a book written by a minor player in the worst film of all time, please donate your remaining life force to someone who can use it better.
- Even though he can’t be serious, Warren Beatty suggested that he’s possibly interested in making another Dick Tracy movie. There’s no way out of icky Viagra jokes here other than simply suggesting that Beatty really shouldn’t concern himself with wearing a rain coat at his age.
- Damon Lindelof, mastermind of what is still my favorite show ever (“Lost”), is going to write an original sci-fi film for Disney. It’s called 1952, and nobody knows anything about it because everything those “Lost” boys do is shrouded in six shades of secrecy. Just a suggestion, Damon: I’d start with an awesome ending this time and work backwards…
- Given his deadpan delivery, it’s entirely possible that Zach Galifianakis is kidding, but he recently suggested that the inevitable Hangover Part III may follow his character being sprung from a mental asylum. Hey, just so long as wretched people are treated like human pinatas and are forced to degrade themselves for our entertainment, we’ll love it.
