Father Leland Lubbers for showing me the importance of portraying “non space” and numbers 2 and 3, the late great Kent Bellows who once showed me his depth behind the seemingly mundane symbolism of one of his paintings and even after his departure from this plane the admonition to start every day by sharpening one’s pencils.
