* The Joslyn Art Museum’s annual Art on Tap, sponsored by the Joslyn Art Museum Young Art Patrons, will feature beer, live music and local food May 13 from 8-11 p.m. Goose Island, LandShark, Leffe and Shock Top will be available for tastings, and Blanc Burgers, Cantina Laredo, Crave and Loft 610 will provide food. Orion Walsh and All Young Girls are Machine Guns will provide live music. Joslyn’s permanent collection galleries will be open during the event. Tickets are $25 for YAP members and $50 for the general public. A higher-level event ticket ($50 for YAP members and $75 for the general public) earns a private tasting of reserve beer with Jack Becker, Joslyn’s new director, and preferred parking at the event. For more information or to make a reservation, visit joslyn.org.   * Topcoat and Tails — a show featuring the fine art of tattooing — opens Friday, May 6 at the New BLK Gallery. Artists from Liquid Courage, Sailor’s Grave and Iron Brush will present works on a range of topics that demonstrate the progression of the city’s tattoo community. The show opens with a reception from 6-10 p.m.   * Next Friday, May 6, is National Public Gardens Day, and to celebrate, Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens is offering free admission. The day works to raise awareness of how botanical gardens promote environmental awareness, plant and water conservation and the importance of green spaces. Lauritzen will celebrate mothers two days later with its annual Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday, May 8. The spring flower show will be on display. For more information or to make a reservation, visit OmahaBotanicalGardens.org.
