MAD DADS O.N.E. presents this noted Pan-Afrikanism advocate and author of the book Psycho-Academic Holocaust: The Special Education & ADHD Wars Against Black Boys. Johnson is a nationally certified school psychologist who practices privately in Pennsylvania and lectures throughout the country. He is a blood relative of Frederick Douglass, the great Black abolitionist and orator. This expert on learning disabilities and their effect on black children assists schools and parents modify challenging behaviors that can lead to disruptive behavior disorder diagnoses in black boys. Such diagnoses can adversely impact student achievement. Johnson argues these special education practices are part of institutionalized, systemic racist strategies designed to oppress black male youths. His talk is entitled "Understanding the Mid-Education Machine."
