Refocus Omaha invites you to participate in a city-wide visual storytelling project that showcases unique perspectives from our diverse communities. The project, developed by Leadership Omaha’s class 43 in partnership with non-profit BFF Omaha, asks citizens to submit photos, with captions, that show their unique perspectives of the community.

Photographs will be chosen by their team and published on @refocusomaha Instagram page, culminating in a public exhibition and limited publication of a juried selection of photographs in June 2021. Published photographs will be chosen based on the following criteria: Originality & Creativity; Composition and Design; Unique Perspective/Story; Entertainment Value.

Submissions have already begun and are free and open to all ages. Participants are encouraged to submit via Omaha.

The exhibition will be held at MaMO gallery during June 4th’s First Friday art walk, 6PM-9PM.  The MaMO Gallery is BFF’s mobile gallery, located in a converted Mayflower trailer, and for this exhibit it will be located outside of the CityLight Arts Project at that time, at 56th & NW Radial Highway.
