The 21st Saloon has veteran soul-blues man Johnny Rawls this Thursday, Aug. 13, 6-9 p.m. Rawls is an acclaimed singer-songwriter and performer who has won numerous Living Blues magazine awards and racked up a number of Blues Music Award nominations. The fabulous Laura Rain & The Caesars have a last-minute surprise show at The Corner Bar in Fremont Saturday, Aug. 15, 9 p.m. They also play in not-too-far-away Pomeroy, Iowa, Sunday, Aug. 16, 5 p.m. Listen to this up-and-coming soul-blues powerhouse at This band is wonderful, and this is a great chance to catch them in an intimate, down-home show.

Remember Lincoln’s Zoo Bar twangs it up with Austin band The Derailers, playing TONIGHT< Tuesday, Aug. 11, 6-9 p.m. Mark your calender for the “Super Friday Afternoon Club” Friday, Aug. 14, starting at 5 p.m. and playing until late. Blues-rocker Tinsley Ellis and audience favorites The Bel Airs will both perform with one low admission for both shows.
