May 17 Omaha’s Finest Musicians Benefit Concert/Silent Auction Omaha Westside Auditorium, 8701 Pacific St. 7 p.m., FREE but $25 donation suggested, 402.505.3021 The Omaha Symphony’s principal flutist, Maria Harding, has organized a benefit concert and silent auction to raise funds for the Carla Beardmore-Harding Memorial Scholarship for next Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Omaha Westside’s Auditorium. The scholarship fund, established through the Westside Foundation, honors the late Carla Beardmore Harding, who worked as a chemical dependency counselor for the school until 2010. Performers at the benefit include Mitch Gettman, In Sterio, The Jazz Trio with Bill Ritchie, Johnny Gomez and Harding herself. The public is welcome to arrive at 6 p.m. to begin perusing the items available at the silent auction, which include donations from the Henry Doorly Zoo, Fontenelle Nature Association, the Omaha Symphony, Opera Omaha, Blue Pomegranate Gallery, Zio’s and Beardmore Chevrolet/Subaru.
