2012 Bemis Center Regional Juried Exhibition

Shannon Stratton, artist, writer, curator and founder of threewalls artist residency in Chicago, selected 26 artists from over 250 submissions of artists living or working within 200 miles of Omaha for the 2012 Regional Juried Exhibition.  University of Kansas MFA candidate Gina Adams will exhibit her mixed media work inspired by “maps as skins on top of topographies and spiritual identity.” Kansas City based photographer Colleen Lucas will show Afflict, images from her A Vulnerable Body series of the human form being tried in seemingly uncomfortable fashion. Omaha based artist Tana Quincy, known for her figurative painting and drawing exploring personal dialogues, is in the show, as well as Kansas City-based artist Will Anderson who works in oils to create expressive atmospheres.
