Chevelle w/ Middle Class Rut and Janus

Sokol Auditorium, 2234 S. 13th St.

7 p.m., $25 in advance $25 day-of-show, or

Riff driven and still providing audiences with a gut-crunching dose of straight up rock, Chicago based band Chevelle will be shaking loose the well-worn floorboards upstairs at  the Sokol Auditorium as part of their 2012 tour. This three-piece powerhouse are supporting their latest release Hats off to the Bull and will be showcasing their ability of remaining a viable force in rock and roll since the mid 90’s. Chevelle has managed to keep just enough under  the radar to stay cooler than some of their rock contemporaries from the late ’90s and early 2000s with songs like “The Clincher” and  “Send the Pain Below”. After seven albums the band is still on the road and heavier than ever. Check them out with openers Middle Class Rut and fellow Chi-town rockers Janus.
