As dawn rose over this millennium, HIV and AIDS epidemics poisoned countless lives. Women dealing with the repercussions shed light on what has happened to them, gathering in a circle of life, the Edgewood Sewing Circle. There they quilt, stich and sew, discussing the threads of their lives, those undone, those repaired, patching together whatever they can. Omaha Brazilian-American Marie Amthor probes these issues, weaving together such stories. Her dialogue, her ideas, her imagination were revealed with Coming Up For Air which surfaced at the Great Plains Theater Conference in 2007.
