To Market, To Market

The historic Postal Annex Building in The Old Market will be renovated and converted into a public market by 2017. The 108 year old building will house local growers and producers of cheeses, eggs, meats, milk, baked and prepared foods, jams, and produce 4 or 5 days a week, year round. The brainchild of Summer Arts Festival founder Vic Gutman, this will be the second such market in Omaha, after Tomato, Tomato. The new venture on 10th and Pierce will be home to approximately 35 permanent producers, in addition to seasonal and temporary growers from Nebraska and Iowa. Want to add your two cents? The minds behind the market are taking your thoughts into consideration, so bring your ideas to their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/omahafarmersmarket.
