Family Dinner

Support culinary professionals who want to further their education by attending the Family Meal at Metropolitan Community College’s Institute for the Culinary Arts. Sunday, January 18 at 5:00 p.m. is the date to mark on your calendar –tickets cost $15 each and help support scholarship funds for folks who want to perfect their culinary expertise in an academic setting.

The Boiler Room Restaurant is on their winter break right now. They don’t open back up again until Monday, Jan 12 at 5:30 p.m. When you’re ready to return to this popular eatery, visit them online to make your reservation before heading over.

Keepers of the Quaich

Congratulations to Monique Huston, consultant for Grane in Midtown Crossing, for her induction into the Keepers of the Quaich. This is an exclusive, invitation-only organization that invites members only after they have proven their worth as whisky professionals. If you run into Monique and want to congratulate her, just know that “Quaich” is pronounced the same as “quake.”

Beer, Beer and Beer

The Old Mattress Factory Bar and Grill recently announced a new beer menu, featuring more than 150 beers from which to choose. They also have plans to host a beer pairing dinner on January 21 at 6:00 p.m. along with Zipline Brewing Company. Call soon for reservations before they fill up.
