Throughout the month of June, La Casa Pizzaria is celebrating their 60th year as one of Omaha’s favorite restaurants. They opened in 1953 and have been happily making pizza ever since. In celebration, there will be many summer specials such as Stuffed Peppers and Caprese Salad as well as weekly drawings for prizes, a new wine list and other memorabilia on display. La Casa will also debut a new beer made especially for them by the folks at Empyrean Ales proudly named “BrewCasa Sesssanta” Amber Ale.

Chef Dario Schicke from Dario’s Brasserie in Dundee is bringing on Chef Benjamin Maides, formerly with Dolce Café, to join him in the kitchen at Chef Dario’s new Restaurant Avoli Osteria, which is located at 5013 Underwood Ave and slated to open in July. How about a gift he would really like? Treat dad to a Father’s Day steak at Cantina Laredo in Midtown Crossing. Their Father’s day special is a 16 oz cowboy cut, bone-in Cascabel Ribeye Steak, aged 21 days and basted with Cascabel chile pepper marinade. Cantina Laredo is open on Father’s day, June 16th, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
