Metro Culinary Team Takes Top Spot, Apple Jack Festival, And Omaha Gets Authentic Mexican

How Do You Like Them Apples?

Nebraska City is gearing up to host its annual Apple Jack Festival, which draws between 60 and 80 thousand participants every year. With both free and inexpensive events, it’s worth the road trip for kids of all ages. Parades, music, craft fair, and a 3 day carnival are all in store for anyone in the mood to celebrate the amazing fruit. Parian Takes The “Tex” Out Of Omaha’s “Mex”

Once a week a status crosses my news feed: “Family is in town, where do I get good Mexican food??” A list of the usual suspects that follows is about as Mexican as Olive Garden is Italian. Please go to Tijuana and ask for a chimichanga… and please let me be there to witness this. Jose Lieb and Claudia Gonzalez Ceja are ready to put an end to your south of the border cravings with Parian, Omaha’s authentic Mexican restaurant. Be there for the grand opening August 18 and find out what you’ve been missing!
