Soup-er Heroes

The Visiting Nurse Association announced Dr Harris and Dr Jan Frankel as honorary chairs for the 19th annual Art and Soup Fundraiser. Each year, more than 1,000 community members attend the fundraiser, which features soups, breads, and desserts prepared by some of the top chefs in the area. Local artists will have several works on display for sale, and more than 50% of the proceeds will go directly to VNA. More than 60 artists and restaurants will be donating their time and talent this year, and the event funds the association’s work with homeless and domestic violence shelters. In 2014, VNA shelter nurses provide services to 2,626 homeless men, women, and children. Tickets are on sale now at www.theVNAcares.org for only $50, and are available at the door for $55.
