Feeling the Love

Vegnews Magazine, the vegan lifestyle magazine with subscribers in 38 countries, has named Modern Love their Restaurant of the Year. In a state known for steak, Isa Moscowitz had the audacity to open a tiny vegan restaurant and thrive. The clever dishes draw both hungry herbivores and carnivorous crowds, proving flavor, not flesh, is king. Congratulations on your success! Want to join the team? Modern Love is currently looking for line and prep workers. You needn’t be vegetarian to apply, only to have a passion for good food! Email your resume to  modernloveomaha@gmail.com for consideration.

The by-the-slice pizza shop was voted #2 People’s Choice in 2015, but will be permanently closing their doors after business on Saturday, October 31. Owners Brad and Johanna will be redirecting all of their focus onto their other establishment, Lot 2. The property’s new owner, Bryan Baumgart , aims to open Burrito Envy and Tequila Bar in the space this fall.
