Wanna Go For A Ride?

The Taco Ride is the place to be every beautiful Nebraska Thursday evening. If you love riding your bicycle, eating peculiarly delicious tacos, or if you’re just chasing that frosty pitcher at the end of the 10 mile stretch of Wabash, head to Tobey Jack’s Minneola Steakhouse. No matter why you ride, grab a bike and a friend and see what the trail is all about!

Fundraising Filet

Three area LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants are hosting “Dining for Dollars”, a charity event benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of The Midlands tonight from 5-9pm. Diners at LongHorn who wish to participate can request a voucher from their wait staff at the beginning of the meal. When the bill is paid, 10% of the total will be donated to the organization. This doesn’t cost the diner any extra, but if you’re looking for a place to lay your fork this evening, consider spending your money where it can do the most good!

New research shows that most families (75%) report that they typically only dine with their older relatives around special occasions, events and the holidays. In order to bridge the gap, Home Instead Senior Care is offering a year’s worth of healthy, easy-to-make recipes and shopping guides to help make family meals a positive experience for all generations and challenging local families to take the Sunday Dinner Pledge. Mark Goetz, director of franchise operations of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving the Omaha metro, is asking families to commit to scheduling regular meals with senior loved ones. For every pledge made, the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation will donate $1 to Meals on Wheels (up to $20,000) to help ensure that all seniors have access to healthy, nutritious meals.
