Enjoy a ride to Lincoln, observing and learning about local farms on your way to Prarie Plate Restaurant, located in Lakehouse Farm. Once there, enjoy the seasonal dishes prepared by Chef Renee Cornett, which will be paired with local wines. Enjoy the scenic evening under the stars in the prarie before the comfortable ride home. Omaha Restaurant Week

We are now one short month away from Omaha’s annual Restaurant Week. From Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 25, several of Omaha’s favorite flavors will offer 3 course meals at reduced prices of $20, $30, $40, or $50 per person. Proceeds benefit Food Bank for the Heartland and vendors will be announced tomorrow, August 17. The Reader will keep you updated as the list becomes available!

Cabela’s Food Truck Rally

Cabela’s August Food Truck Rally will take place Saturday the 27 from 11am to 7pm.  This month’s event will feature Wildlife Encounters at 11:30 and 12:30, with a variety of animals for children to see and learn about. Vendors include Chicago Dawg House, Peanu Butter Johnny’s, Piccolo’s Mobile Venue, Ox ‘n Bull, Sweet Lime Thai, Hawks Pizza, Johnny Ricco’s Brooklyn Pizza, Taste of New Orleans, KGB Gyros and Brats, The Churro Truck, Attitude on Food, KONA Ice, and Big Green Q.
