During hours of operation Thursday through Saturday,  10% of all proceeds will go to the Omaha Public Library Foundation.“We believe in being an active part of the community and this is one way we can show our commitment.  Supporting our libraries is a wonderful way to spotlight one of Omaha’s most important resources,” said owner, John Jelinek. To increase impact, Scriptown Brewing Company will also donate 10% of its proceeds on those same nights. This is the beginning of an ongoing effort by PBJohnny’s and Scriptown to designate various weeks to support area non-profits. A Tasty Return

Tasty Pastry reopened their doors last Tuesday with a limited menu after a family emergency forced a hiatus. The midtown pizza and pastry shop closed at the end of October when owner Mary Joseph-Dailey’s husband suffered a stroke. As he slowly recovers, she has decided to return to the community that has missed her and her simple, delicious fare. Welcome back, Tasty Pastry!

Extending Hours and a Helping Hand

Le Bouillon at 1017 Howard has added lunch hours to accommodate the staff it has absorbed after the Old Market fire that displaced dozens of workers. Beginning February 2, Le Bouillion will be open from 10:30am to 11pm, and a portion of the profits from the extended hours will benefit the displaced workers.
