If you have never been, then you should go out of your way to Metropolitan Community Colleges’ Sage Student Bistro on the Fort Campus (30th and Fort, Building 22). It was recently voted best overall restaurant in Nebraska by the users of OpenTable, an online reservation service with over 18,700 users. The Bistro also placed second in the overall food category and came in fourth for ambience. There are many other Omaha restaurants that use the OpenTable reservation system that also were high in the rankings such as Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops, Mahogany Prime and the Grey Plume. The Sage Student Bistro was established in 2004 and offers fine dining to the public with hands on instruction happening at the same time for students of the Culinary program. For restaurant hours and more information on Sage Student Bistro, you can go to www.mccneb.edu/bistro. If you would like to make a reservation through OpenTable for Bistro or any other participating Nebraska restaurant, you can visit www.opentable.com.
