Tickets for the 11th annual Winefest Des Moines are on sale now at The festival, presented by Dahl’s, celebrates the wine and culinary industries in Des Moines, Iowa with an entire week of events from June 1st through June 8th, 2013. The Des Moines Wine Festival Foundation has planned eight days of wine-related events for its annual June celebration. This year’s festival includes new events such as Toasting Tuesday, an evening toasting sparkling wines at the Hub Spot Plaza on the Riverwalk, and Bacon & the Bottle, a partnership with Baconfest & Café di Scala.

Join the Dundee Community at Marks Bistro, 4916 Underwood Ave., for a buffet style brunch to benefit the Dundee Community Garden’s Growing Roots Campaign. Patio seating will be available if the weather is nice. Each (adult) meal will include a mimosa. The cost is $15 when you pre-pay on their website or send a $15 check received on or before April 22nd sent to the address below. The cost will be $20 from April 23rd thru the morning of the event. Additional donations will gladly be accepted and are fully tax

The popular Sean O’Casey Pub is moving! Friday, April 19th will be their last day at their current location, 10730 Q Street. Sean O’Casey’s new home will be at 2523 S. 140th Avenue. Formerly occupied by “The Baja Grill” and before that “Primo 140.” The current Sean O’Casey’s will be demolished for a Dunkin Donut Franchise. Expect the same great food and new memories to be made at their new location.
