On Saturday June 8th, join in an important event called Drink for AFRICA; We drink because we care Annual Beer and BBQ Fundraiser 2013. The Event location is the Colley Studio 2572 Harney Street and runs from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The cost is $10 for Beer and BBQ. Benson Brewery has announced Matt Taylor as their new Executive Chef. Taylor brings with him experiences in small and large restaurants. He most recently served as the executive chef at Lied Lodge at Arbor Day Farms in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Prior to that he ran his own restaurant, Rivers Italian, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. According to Benson Brewery, Taylor’s reputation as a passionate purveyor of locally sourced food and dedication to authentic Midwestern cuisine provides a solid foundation for his contemporary approach to pub food. Benson Brewery strongly believes the food is equally important as the beer, which is why all of our food is fresh and sourced locally when possible. “Our menu will expose natural flavors and interesting textures perspective of simple, hearty gastropub-style food,” said Taylor “You are sure to find something great to compliment the craft of artisan brewing.”
