On Friday July 26th, Come out and Join the party at the Lucky Bucket Beer and BBQ Event. This outdoor event will be outdoing themselves this year in this the 4th year of the festival. Here is what they say to expect…

“Upon entry into our BeerBQ you will have tons of great food choices from: Prairie Fire Pizza, Island Seasons, Long’s Smoked Meats, Hy-Vee, and more! We will have DJ Raz & DJ Rockwell blasting great music, and backyard games for you to play. There will be washers, bags, and ladder golf to entertain you. When you aren’t playing games you can stop and sample beers at the home brew contest. The crowd favorite of the contest will will get a $50 bar tab to our tasting room and a 50 lb. bag of two row malted barley. If that wasn’t enough, don’t forget we will have tons of cold Lucky Bucket beer including our limited release Children of the Corn! Tickets the day of go up to $10.”

This event is being held at Lucky Bucket, 1191 Centennial Road in La Vista Nebraska. Event time is 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at luckybucketbeerbq.eventbrite.com or at the door.

Now open in Omaha:

Stories Coffeehouse is a new coffeehouse with a feminine touch that includes great ambience, home-cooked food, baked goods, and gourmet coffee. Open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Stories is located at 1129 South 180th Street.

Avoli Osteria is the newest restaurant opened by Chef Dario Schnicke.  Serving wine and food inspired from Northern Italy, all food items are simple, thoughtful, freshly sourced and of high quality. Avoli is open Tuesday night through Sunday night from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Stop by this great Dundee location at 5013 Underwood. 

Recent Closings in Omaha:

As of Saturday July 20th, Tommy Colina’s Kitchen has closed up shop.  TCK’s were located at 38th and Farnam and their new West location of 180th and Pacific. Both locations had a signed posted notifying patrons of their closure. They will be missed.
