Fall Festival at Gifford Farms

The educational Gifford Farm, 700 Camp Gifford Rd, Bellevue, is hosting a Fall Festival this Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit with your whole family for farm fun games, pony rides, hay rides and other farm activities. Pita Pit Opens in Omaha

For those readers looking for an alternative to burgers and subs, perhaps the new Pita Pit, located in the L St. Marketplace Suite 101, will hit the spot. With other locations throughout the United States, this is the first Pita Pit in Omaha, which opened in the middle of September. Hops and Grapes

This is the first Hops and Grapes Fall Festival, being held on Friday Oct. 11 at the Field Club of Omaha, 3615 Woolworth Ave. This casual event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., promises a fun night under the stars with great food, craft beers and wine tastings. Plus, there will be bocce ball and live music throughout the night performed by the Shenanigans. All proceeds will benefit the Partnership 4 Kids programs.
