Side Door Lounge Has New Owner

The Side Door Lounge, 3530 Leavenworth St., will welcome Tyler J. Johnson as owner/operator starting Dec. 1. The Side Door Lounge was formerly owned by Steve Jamrozy, who was the original owner of the Flatiron Restaurant. According to a statement issued by Johnson, the Side Door will offer a fresh drink menu and more event opportunities for area musicians and visual artists. The Side Door Lounge will be closed the first week of December and will reopen with new hours starting Dec. 10. New hours will be Tuesday through Friday, 5 p.m. to close, and Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m. to close; Mondays are closed.

Brix Beer Bar is Now Open

Holiday Beerfest

The Crescent Moon, Huber-Haus and Max and Joe’s, 36th and Farnam, are hosting their 7th Annual Holiday Beerfest on Dec. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. This holiday fest will feature the largest selection of holiday and winter seasonal beers in the Midwest. Each ticket includes a souvenir tasting glass, a program of available beers, and unlimited 2 oz. tastings of over 70 different seasonal beers from the world’s leading breweries.
