Holiday Under Glass

Stop by the Joslyn Art Museum and enjoy Holiday Under Glass, a holiday luncheon concert series held in the Museum’s glass atrium. The 2013 series is scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays, through December 20, from noon to 12:45 p.m. Joslyn’s Café Durham is open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The concerts will feature holiday favorites and classical arrangements performed by area musicians, including high school, university and other music groups. ConAgra Foods Foundation is a sponsor of Joslyn Art Museum’s 2013 Holiday Under Glass concert series as part of its Shine the Light on Hunger campaign this holiday season. Borgata Brewery’s Grand Opening

Blue Planet closes restaurant and starts retail line

The health conscious Blue Planet eatery has decided to close its doors on Dec. 15. The company has re-focused and is continuing with a new line of retail products. “It was a hard decision, but we know that it was the right decision. Our concept was always about bringing healthier food to the market and now we can bring better food to a lot more people. It’s a continuation of that same mission,” said Tom Smith, owner of Blue Planet Naturals. The retail line is launching with three gluten-free, vegan burgers currently carried at the Hy-Vee on 51st and Center Sts.
