Enjoy a special free online event Wednesday, Dec. 23, 7 p.m., on the Zoo Bar’s Facebook page at facebook.com/ZooBarBlues. The livestream event features Josh Hoyer, Kris Lager, The Bottle Tops and Jack Hotel in a celebration of the launch of the club’s new Patreon page. The historic Lincoln blues bar’s Zoo Bar +Plus membership starts at $8 a month on Patreon. Members will receive invites to private online-only concerts plus planned perks when the bar can safely present live music. Planned benefits include discounts to new merchandise, reduced or free admission to selected live shows once live music can return to the club and drink specials.

Visit patreon.com/zoobar to get the full details or sign up. Plans under discussion include private, online-only members-only shows by national acts along with popular local artists.

The message on the Patreon page from co-owner-manager Pete Watters notes, “With multiple online virtual shows planned for the near future, we want our supporters to have instant access to these incredibly historic performances. We want to not only bring back some of our favorite national acts, but also shine a light on some of our greatest local Nebraska talent. We so appreciate the Zoo Bar fans out there and hope this brings a little light to the [current] situation.”

Musical Zoo Bar heroes past and present are featured in the imagery created to promote the new Zoo Bar Plus Patreon page.
