  • City budget vetoes: The Omaha City Council will vote to reconsider amendments to the 2022 city budget and 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) vetoed by Mayor Jean Stothert during Tuesday’s meeting. Five votes are required to override a veto. Each vetoed amendment received four votes in last week’s meeting, except an amendment to the CIP that received six votes.   • ARPA rental assistance: The City Council will hold a public hearing on a nearly $17 million agreement with the Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless (MACCH) to provide rent and utility assistance through 2025. Omaha was awarded the money through the American Rescue Plan.
  • Board of corrections: Douglas County Director of Corrections Mike Myers will give a monthly update to the board of commissioners during Tuesday’s meeting.
  • Douglas County Staff Appreciation Day: The board of commissioners will recognize all Douglas county employees for their work, especially throughout the pandemic.
