Speaking the day after one principal was killed an another injured during a shooting at Millard South High School, State Senator Mark Christensen of Imperial told the Nebraska Radio Network Jan. 6 that teachers and administrators should carry firearms. “We’re doing it backwards,” Christensen said. “When you prohibit guns from schools and everybody knows there can’t be a gun, there then all the criminals know they’re the only ones there with it.” Christensen attributed the shooting to a “decay of morals.”
