Mayor Jim Suttle blew the dust off his campaign website this week adding a link for supporters to contribute money to fight a recall effort. Last week, Suttle called the efforts of the Mayor Suttle Recall Committee “expensive, divisive, and reckless” in a statement that will appear on the recall petitions. The Committee announced yesterday they will pick up their petitions from the Douglas County Election Commission and begin collecting signatures on October 21. They will need nearly 27,000 signatures to force a revote. Suttle says a recall election would cost the city up to $900,000. Give us your take: Are you willing to spend nearly a million dollars for new leadership?
