The 15 annual Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards climaxes February 28, on Facebook, but if you missed seeing some or even most of the nominated visual, performing and music artists last year, it’s understandable. OEAA gets it.

So does John Rogers, owner of RBR Gallery on Vinton Street, who is organizing the Visual Arts Showcase for the third time, which features over 30 nominees in 10 categories exhibiting  paintings, fine art prints, fiber arts, video, 3D/sculpture, photographs and images of large mural projects.

If you missed these artists the first time around, the Showcase opens at RBR G Friday, February 19, from 5 – 9 p.m. and continues through Saturday, March 6. A complete list of the nominees can be found at https://oea-awards.org/current-nominees/, but it includes such familiar faces as Barber, Shawnequa Linder and Watie White, as well as emerging artists Thalia Rogers, Lauren Scheele and Anthony Pena, among others.

Nominees wishing to enter the showcase are generally limited to one work each and must deliver to RBR G by February 13. Details for all submissions as well as gallery hours are available at www.rbrg.org or info@rbrg.org
