The Irish Minstrels: Cliff McKenna, Paddy Finney and Liam McKervey

Holy Name Catholic Church, 2901 Fontenelle Blvd., holynameomaha.org, 6:30 p.m., $10.

Three men are coming to Nebraska from Ireland as a part of their lifelong pursuit of fun and entertainment, or, as the Irish put it: the craic. These three minstrels are Cliff McKenna, Liam McKervey and Paddy Finney and they will be performing a benefit concert to support the students of Holy Name School. Cliff McKenna has been a performer for over 30 years and has even written a song about Nebraska. Liam McKervey is a top-notch intstrumentalist and a gifted singer whose interests lie in the older, traditional songs. Paddy Finney rounds out the group with sweet vocals, musicianship and head-turning flute skills. These three have been playing with one another for years so this show will be a great opporunity to experience the craic firsthand.
