It’s a bird. It’s a plane. Actually it’s three birds on planes, French, American and German, who, in the 1960s, are up in the air dressing-up international flights as stewardesses. On land, they all are in love and engaged to and undressing for the same chap, Bernard. They don’t know each other but new jet technology speeds things up and they’re bound to collide in Bernard’s swinging pad. Lots of doors and drawers will fly open and shut: the essence of farce. Marc Camoletti’s bouncy comedy Boeing, Boeing, translated by Beverly Cross and updated by Francis Evans, had a successful flight on Broadway in 2008. Evidently, this is the most performed French play all over the world. Fasten your seat belt.
