Rob Urbinati has been back within UNO’s hallowed halls to direct one of his own stage creations, Death by Design. The University M.A. grad was on campus before, staging Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Blue Barn Theatre not long ago framed his takes on Toxic Avenger: the Musical and three plays by Omaha’s Max Sparbar: Chelsea: From A to B and Back Again, Cruelties, and Minstrel Show, or the Lynching of William Brown.  This time one has the impression that he’s sending up Dame Christie mysteries infused with snappy bon mots and jolly come-backs like those of Sir Noël C. This is a world premiere of a musical version of Urbinati’s play of the same name with songs by Peter Mills. It’s no mystery who Mills is. The multi-award winner has written his own bon mots and lots of music for plenty of other productions.http://
