Big D.R.E.A.M.s Weekend: BLACK FRIDAY GLAM VIP Fashion Show & After Party
Are you ready for a night of couture, voodoo, funk and celebrity guests? This Friday, April 13th The Reader presents The 7th Annual Glam VIP Fashion Show. This year’s theme is fitting for a day legendary for mysterious and unusual happenings: Voodoo.
Starting at 10 p.m., models will work the catwalk in one-of-a-kind designs from Cristallo Couture, a line from designer Crystal Ellis. Inspired to create beautiful things from a very early age, Ellis collaboratively launched Faire L‘amour—a young, colorful and eco-friendly line—in 2009. A year later, she launched One Love, an appointment only boutique carrying exclusive couture designs. Cristallo Couture, Ellis’ newest endeavor was inspired by crystals; Multifaceted and never duplicated, Ellis’ designs showcase the many sides of an individual’s sense of personal style.
Part southern riff rock and part funk, Voodoo Method will provide an unforgettable sound to accompany the runway show. Following the show, local DJ Mista Soull will keep the energy flowing at an after party with NFL celebrities Carlos Polk, Correll Buckhalter, Niles Paul, Zack Bowman and more. Special guests will hit the runway in Husker apparel from Neebo.
All proceeds from this event will benefit D.R.E.A.M. (Developing Relationships through Education and Mentoring) a non-profit organization that reaches out to the underserved and less privileged children and families in our communities. D.R.E.A.M. provides positive role models for youth, after school tutoring programs and life skill teaching, and scholarships to seniors that complete the program.
The 7th Annual Glam VIP Fashion Show presented by Privileged Promotions and The Reader will take place in the Whiskey Roadhouse in the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino located at 2701 23rd Avenue in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Doors for this event open at 8 p.m. with the fashion show beginning at 10 p.m. followed by a celebrity after party at 11 p.m. This is a 21+ event and advance tickets are available for $15 through Ticketmaster.com (price valid before 10 p.m. on day of event) with VIP tables available for $100.
