Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Lied Center for the Performing Arts, 301 N. 12th St., Lincoln

7:30 p.m., $72-$223

Many of us first heard them on Paul Simon’s Graceland.  Do you remember your reaction? The rest of the world learned of them when they saw The Lion King.  But, wherever you first heard Ladysmith Black Mambazo, you certainly never forgot that sound. Finally, this all-male a cappella group of South Africans brings their unmistakable blend of African music and gospel to Nebraska at Lincoln’s Lied Center for the Performing Arts. There is a reason they have performed with everyone from Emmylou Harris to Michael Jackson.  This is an opportunity that may never pass this way again. Don’t let it pass without you.
