Scanlan has been an advocate for bringing attention to eating disorders, traversing the country on her platform “Eating Disorders: A Generation at Risk.” She has first-hand experience with the widespread problem while helping a friend during high school recover from an eating disorder. Scanlan hopes to educate children and adults on the signs and risks of eating disorders, as well as how and where to get help for themselves or a loved one.
