The first four murals completed by students and mentors of the Kent Bellows Studio along the Keystone Trail will be dedicated by the artists, collaborative partners and sponsors of the project, that works with young people interested in urban art, focusing that energy in a proactive and productive way, to recreate the urban landscape through the urban art aesthetic. The “Community” dedication starts at the 67th and Center Trail Underpass, with a mural by mentor artist Steve Walsh. The tour continues to “Beyond Limits” at 67th and Mercy by mentor artist Gerard Pefung; to “Evolve” by artist Lavie Raven at 71st and Pacific; and ends at 72nd and Rose Blumkin Drive with another mural in progress by Steve Walsh.  Various young artists contributed to the murals as part of Re(Create), the Urban Arts Program spearheaded by The Kent Bellows Studio and The Neighborhood Center in collaboration with the City of Omaha. A celebratory reception follows at Jones Bros Cupcakes, also the locale for the ceremony in case of inclement weather. Tour map can be found at kentbellows.org.
