Sept. 24 Omaha Nighthawks vs. Hartford Colonials Rosenblatt Stadium, 1202 Bert Murphy Ave. 7 p.m., $10-$35, Nelly’s going to be there, are you? The Omaha Nighthawks announced last week that the Grammy-award winning rapper would perform at halftime of the team’s season opener at Rosenblatt Stadium in what looks like one of the biggest sporting events to hit the city in recent memory. The Nighthawks’ Fan Experience gets the evening started at 4 p.m. with performances by local acts Hifi Hangover and the creators of the new official team song Whyte Myk, Flocain and Lucky Charm. Football will be in there somewhere too. Show up early, tickets are going fast.
