A Night at the Orpheum: The Queen’s Cabaret, new work by Wendy Jane Bantam

Modern Arts Midtown, 3615 Dodge St.

Reception 6-9p.m., exhibit thru Mar. 31, 402.477.2828

Wendy Jane Bantam didn’t paint while she was out of the country for six months last year. While traveling through England and Turkey, she performed music regularly (she plays guitar and sings). She also attended shows constantly, brought it all in and painted it out upon her arrival back home to her Lincoln studio. In her celebrated dreamy and animated style, Bantam will show about 30 new paintings inspired by her travels abroad in A Night at the Orpheum: The Queen’s Cabaret.
