Acid Mothers Temple w/ Tjutjuna

The Waiting Room Lounge, 6212 Maple St.

9 p.m., $10 in advance/$12 day-of-show, onepercentproductions.com

Led by guitarist Kawabata Makoto, Acid Mothers Temple is the most entrenched project of a collective of Japanese musicians that work around Makoto on various projects of drone, psychedelic, space rock and experimental music. The collective has issued more than 100 releases since taking rough form in 1995. Vanguards of this sort of experimental, fringe music like Important Records, Ace Fu and Alien8 Recordings have issued Acid Mothers Temple albums over the years. Depending on the mood, the band can work in pastoral passages meant for spacing out or turn on death-dying waves of drone, built on extremities of volume and sonic deconstruction.
