Alley Cat Experiment

Alley just to the north of Howard St, between 10th and 11th St.

3-11pm, $10, 21+

The New BLK is known for their crazy-cool art, booze, good eats, good time—and not to forget, community responsiveness. Nothing falls short with their “experiment” in big form Saturday as they partner with Havana Garage to host a festival transforming the underutilized urban space also complementing their affinity for urban art. Featured visual artists include Blastin’ Oakley (whose exhibit The Value of the Dollar opens at the New BLK Gallery Friday); Iggy Sumnik; Dave Koenig; Tim Guthrie; Paul Konchagulian and Gerard Pefung. Live music throughout on two stages by Snake Island, Morning at Sea, Little Joe and Big Trouble, David Zollo, Dr. Spit, Steve Spurgeon, Dave Downing, Brian Vranicar, JVC and food provided by various Old Market restaurants. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Aqua Africa to provide fresh water wells to the people of South Sudan.
