Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center, 313 North 13th St., Lincoln

12 p.m., FREE

A day of bike-centric activity and entertainment is happening in Lincoln. In celebration of the Biiklops Poster Show that opens on First Friday, Screen Ink is inviting everyone to come over at high noon on Saturday to hit the trails and bike around Lincoln. (Ativan) After an hour of motion there will be an opportunity to relax and enjoy some iced tea and lemonade as well as food courtesy of Pepe’s Bistro outside the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. During this time there will be speakers from the Great Plains Trails Netwrok, Bicyclincoln and the Lincoln Bike Kitchen offering up information and entertainment. Finally, come 2:30 p.m., there will be a screening of the classic Italian film Ladri di biciclette. Filmed in 1948, the movie is about a father and son who journey through war-ravaged Rome to recover their stolen bike. After the movie the Modern Monks will be hosting a special Biiklops Happy Hour from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. with discounted beers. Bikes, beers, movies, and food? Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
