Iration w/ Through the Roots, Fortunate Youth and Micah Brown

The Waiting Room Lounge, 6212 Maple St.

8 p.m., $15, onepercentproductions.com

Iration have caught a growing wave of buzz among fans of the rock-reggae genre, specializing in the tropical sounds of the upbeat, positive sunshine reggae genre. The California band’s members all originally hail from Hawaii. The band has quickly grabbed a following of college-aged kids and integrated themselves in the surf culture around their hometown of Santa Barbara. Iration’s 2010 album Time Bomb took that regional following national, as fans of roots reggae, dub and even alternative music listeners took notice of the band’s sound. The band’s latest album Automatic came out in early July, right after the departure of singer Kai Rediske. That line-up change has now made guitarist/singer Micah Pueschel as the group’s only vocalist.
