G. Love & Special Sauce w/ Scott H. Biram

Scott H. Biram may not be the headliner of this show, but his 2011 album Bad Ingredients certainly bears the marks of a talent worthy of headlining bigger stages. And the best part is Texan does it all on his own, playing bare-bones blasts of bluesy guitar and stomping his own beat. The Bloodshot Records artist cut his teeth recording and releasing records by himself. The sound on the record incorporates more instruments, as he’s able to tinker in the studio. But that doesn’t mean Biram loses the raw impact of his sound. Songs like “Born In Jail” and “I Want My Mojo Back” still howl with a vital intensity. Meanwhile, G. Love will prove to be a good pairing, coming off his stripped-down 2011 Fixin’ To Die, produced by the Avett Brothers.
