You’re Welcome in Omaha Kick-Off Event

House of Loom, 1012 South 10th Street

8 PM, FREE

Omaha might not be Ellis Island, but we are blessed with a burgeoning immigrant community daily enriching our lives. On July 20th the House of Loom and Omahans of all sorts are gathering to celebrate this fact and announce to the whole world that no matter where you are on life’s journey “You’re Welcome in Omaha.” Open to everyone twenty-one and over, the event will feature live music and the unveiling of new silkscreens by artists proclaiming our city’s welcoming nature. This is the kick-off to a larger effort by the Nebraska Appleseed organization to foster a state-wide community of acceptance, hospitality, and goodwill. So don’t worry about getting an invitation – you’re most certainly invited.
