Bob Log III and Cheap Time

The Waiting Room Lounge, 6212 Maple St.

9 p.m., $10, onepercentproductions.com

Arizona’s Bob Log III has gained a reputation for making the one-man-band act into a human spectacle. He plays fingerpicked, Delta blues-inspired rock while drumming with his feet on his homemade set up. On stage, he wears an Evel Knievel-style stuntman suit and a motorcycle helmet, which has a telephone receiver wired into it for his vocals. His set is highlighted by the song “Boob Scotch”, which is a sight to behold. Also on the bill is Cheap Time, a Tennessee-based garagey, power-pop trio led by Jeffrey Novak. They play a sort of skinny-jeaned, no-frills power-pop that sounds like it even predates Cheap Trick.
