Project [101] was created by Omaha artist Janet Mills to promote “free artistic expression without unnecessary hubris.” Every two months artists (“serious and not so much”) and friends gather at her home-studio to show on the previously decided theme, interpretation left up to the creators.  Artists exhibiting on the [d]eath show include Michelle Fuller, Therese Leger, Corey Lundquist, Michael Pysh, Michael Shukis, Stacy Shukis, Dan Winger and Mills herself.  The event also welcomes walk-in contributions throughout the evening and serves free hand-crafted wine and beer while it lasts with donations accepted. Mills said concerning the informality of the project that it gives “anyone a chance to create simply for the joy and experience of it…friends can come and enjoy the casual, unique opportunity to see specific topics conveyed with different styles and talents.”  The theme for the next show will be announced at the reception.
