May 19 Spring Bling: A Jewelry Trunk Show LUX Center for the Arts, 2601 N. 48th St., Lincoln 6-8 p.m., one night only, FREE luxcenter.org, 402.466.8692 “Spring Bling” offers hand-made ornaments to display on your newly bare summer skin. Ten regional jewelry artists will be present for consultation, demonstration and conversation; from Lynn Bowes’ simply elegant sterling silver and earthy enamel pieces to the more darkly rich silver and copper artful pieces of Sara Bucy to the bright colors of Donna Burdic’s sterling silver and stones, everyone is sure to find just the piece to match whatever is in their closet. Other participating jewelers will be Jason Hall, Mona Jenkins, Lonna Keller, Casey Sheppard, April Stevenson, Carrie Strope, and Jette Vogt. Gourmet desserts, hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided for an altogether fine experience.
